Being part of the Revenue & Billing team within Finance, it’s your job to assist the team mainly by performing a variety of responsibilities, such as preparing customer quotations, reporting, and the collection of outstanding payments. While performing day to day duties of a typical Revenue & Accounting analyst, you make sure customer data is correctly linked to invoices and supporting documents such as contracts, and flag any discrepancies. You will be focusing both on historical, as well as new data.

You will work closely, depending on the responsibility, with each Revenue & Accounting Analyst. In this role, you’re invited to challenge processes currently in place, so the Finance department can achieve the following goals:

• Raise data quality and performance levels in our Finance department
• Provide a high level of data quality awareness across multiple staff profiles e.g. Revenue and Accounting analysts, Contract Management, etc.
• Evaluate and identify where system enhancements are required

Primary Roles / Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine processing tasks in a timely and accurate manner (e.g. archiving) to support efficient operation of the function
• Analyze, query and correct data according to defined business rules and procedures
• Identify, assess, monitor, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used
• Supporting analysts with Customer Aging (dunning letters, reminders, collection calls, update input for report summary and follow up on Mgt. feedback)
• Support analysts preparing customer Quotations
• Develop and execute data clean-up measures
• Establish a documented workflow process, consequently help improve data quality

Other:
• Upon request verify accuracy of data related to recent transactions, to ensure high quality outputs are maintained at all times
• Research and provide analysis of data to resolve issues / queries
• Write instructions for (newly) developed and approved processes and procedures, manage the Finance manual and Sharepoint publishing accordingly
• Support Finance Management with audit related queries
• Support the Finance department in addressing any ad-hoc requests (e.g. internal requirements / filling of international templates)

Required Skills/Competencies:
• Enrolled in 3rd year HBO Business Administration, or a similar program, during internship
• Effective communication skills; fluency in English and Dutch
• Strong affinity with processes, process management, and Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to work under pressure with strong planning and prioritization to meet tight deadlines whilst remaining detail orientated with strong problem solving skills and innovative thinking
• Proven analytical skills with an ability to interpret and discuss data with providers and users in other disciplines than Finance
• Flexible attitude, able to adapt to change, and to work independently
• Microsoft Office Programs; Word and Excel
